Italian and Congolese are language pairs. There is an important Italian community in Central Africa especially in the Democratic Republic of Congo and in Burundi. Congolese language is also called Lingala. Ceramics is one of the activities Italians and Burundians have in common. Italian cuisine and Burundian cuisine are appreciated as well as the mwamba, chicken in palm oil, sombe, rice and beans as well as plantain from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
